Birthday gift
I asked for this as a birthday present from my partner. I liked that this IPL hair reduction device is useable on darker skin tones and has an added skin rejuvenation mode.
I’ve been using the Jovs since April. I had a few issues with it, as the inner glass on the device cracked, so it took a while getting it replaced.
I try to use the machine at least 4 times per week, treating my face, lower legs, feet, bikini line and armpits. The treatment is quite quick, taking less than 10 minutes.
As for results, the Jovs definitely works. I have some really thick, wirey hairs on my toes (gross) and the growth of those hairs have become stunted, whereas they would sprout within 2 days of shaving, it’s been weeks now that regrowth hasn’t occurred. I can see they’re still there under the skin, but I believe the roots are weakening.
The hair on the other treated parts of my body are also diminishing. I think the key to having success with this device, is consistency. Treatment must be carried out several times per week until hair regrowth stops and then maintenance is required.
Using the device initially wasn’t easy as the instruction booklet text is minute, not to mention not clear to understand. Currentbody directed me to a help video, which helped a bit, but the instructions suggest the different filters that fit on to the device are optional, but I don’t think they are.
